Thanks RT40, I think I will have to take you up on that. First I am going to get the car registered, will grab a mod plate tomorrow and will try and get road worthy next week. Worried I might have problems with road worthy, am going to clean the car up really well to make it present as best as possible.
Thanks again for all your help on the weekend, feels like I had a crash course in engine management.
Have a much much better idea on how fuel maps and ignition maps work now, would even feel confidant enough to play around with them myself, just need an LC1. Think I will have it hooked up to the ECU this time, this way I can datalog and see a/f ratios along with RPM / timing in the logs, should be a great way for me to work out what I can make higher or lower. Also will set about finding a connector for the TPS, the wires from the ECU are sitting just under it, just need a connector and I will be away.
Yeah I am going to call the bugger this week and ask for it back, I know there is no way he threw something like that out, but with saying that it's possible the sensor is now buggered because it's been running with no power for about 150klm, guess the only way to find out is to hook it back up hey.
correct you are regarding the 02 sensor. fingers crossed that it has survived. at least with running as rich as it has been the exhaust gas temps have probably been fairly low, fingers crossed the sensor survived, but it is doubtful I am afraid.
I might be able to get a tps plug locally for you and post it to you perhaps. Let me know if you have difficulty finding one.
Good luck with the roady and mod-plating. Let us know how you go.![]()
