    18R came in Celicas in Australia between 1976 through 1981 (RA23, RA28, RA40)
Coronas between the mid 70's and the early 80's. Namely RT13x and quite possibly RT10x models.
Hiluxes were available during the late 70's and early 80's, as were Hiaces. Look for anything with an R as the first letter, and a 2000cc engine (being wary of the 21R)
There are also some Cressidas which ran the 18R, however I believe these aren't common in Aus.

If you are chasing a replacement donk, it may be pertinent to put an ad in the parts wanted section. There are plenty of running 18R's which get discarded to make way for engine conversions.

    EDIT: SilverRA23 is a Ninja...

Lifted from wikipedia article "Toyota R Engine"

    18RThe 18R series shared a 2.0 L (1,968 cc) block; cylinder bore was 88.5 mm (3.48 in) and stroke was 80 mm (3.15 in).

The 2 valve, SOHC versions were as follows:

    18R 64–66kW (86–89hp) 142–145 Nm 1971–1981
    18R-C 72kW (97hp) at 5500 rpm 143–145Nm 3,600 rpm 1971–1981
    18R-U 75kW (100hp) at 5,500 rpm 152Nm at 3,600 rpm 1975–1978
    18R-E 84kW (113hp) at 5,600 rpm 172Nm at 4,400 rpm 1974–1975 EFI, Japan only

    Applications:

    18R/18R-C/18R-U/18R-E
    1972 Toyota Corona 2000
1972 Toyota Corona 2000 MK. II
    1972 Toyota Celica 2000
    197X Toyota Cressida 2000/Gen1
    18R-C
    1972-1974 Toyota Hilux, 108 hp (80.5 kW)
    1974-1981 Toyota Celica 2000

    18R-G

The 2-valve DOHC 18R-G and its variations were produced from 1973 to 1982, replacing the 8R-G and providing a performance engine which took advantage of the entire 2-litre limit of Japan's "small car" class.[3] While most 18R-Gs had a head designed and made by Yamaha, a very few had Toyota heads.[citation needed] Yamaha's tuning-fork logo can be seen on the Yamaha heads. Except for the head and related timing components, most parts were shared or interchangeable with the SOHC 18R. Combustion chambers were hemispheric.

In 1975, air injection was added to the Japan-market 18R-GR for improved emissions. This used Solex carburettors.[3] A fuel injected and catalyzed Japan-market version, the 18R-GEU, was produced from 1978 through 1982. There was also a catalyzed carburetted version, the 18R-GU.

Competition versions of the 18R-G and -GE include those used in rally Celicas of the period, one of which finished second in the 1977 RAC Rally. These had four-valve heads and were called 152E, they were of 89 x 80 mm bore and stroke and 1,995 or 1,998 cc (depending on the source).[6] The Group 4 rally version of the 152E had two twin-choke carburettors, and developed 240 PS (177 kW) at 9,000 rpm.[7] Higher tuned engines developed as much as 300 PS (221 kW) at 9,200 rpm. German racing team Schnitzer also developed a turbocharged silhouette racing version of the Celica,[6] to take on the Porsche 935. With a KKK turbocharger, the Group 5 Celica developed 560 PS (412 kW) but reliability was less than satisfactory.[8]

    18R-G 145PS 107kW 6,400 177Nm 5,200rpm 1972–1981
    18R-GR 140PS 103kW 6,400 169Nm 4,800rpm 1973–1975
    18R-GU 130PS 96kW 5,800 162Nm 4,800rpm 1975–1978
    18R-GEU 135PS 99kW 5,800 172Nm 4,800rpm 1978–1982

    18RG Applications:

    1973-1981 Toyota Celica GT 2000
    1982-1983 Toyota Celica GT 2000 (RA63)
    1974-1983 Toyota Carina GT 2000
1978-1983 Toyota Celica Camry GT 2000
    1973-1982 Toyota Corona GT 2000

She sure was a long lived series of engines... to coin a phrase if it aint broke dont fix it huh!

    Hope it helps bud!

If you take another look at that list you will see that not only is it incomplete but is a complete cack.
1972 - 1974 Toyota Hilux 108 HP, Never, what a joke. In tandem I still doubt it.

You should actually watch yourself, you are on thin ice in my books. Owen has pointed out the same thing as myself (must be an Owen thing), and that is that you are blatantly too lazy to type your posts in a manner which somewhat resembles the English language. Pull your head in.

Unless of course you are complaining about his assesment of the Wiki list that has been provided for your convenience, and yeah, 108hp out of a single cam 18R from factory is very speculative and hopeful at best.

As I also keep saying, read the forum rules. Your typing habits are in stark contradiction to the rules. Both txt spk and ALL CAPS are not allowed. You are also showing aggressive behaviour when somebody makes a valid (though somewhat smartarse) comment. He was merely pointing out the lack of accuracy of the list provided, not having a go at the power requirements you are after.

Pull your head in. Your questions are valid, and are being answered on their merits thus. However your behaviour and lack of adherance to the forum rules is what is getting on people's nerves. You also need to lighten up, and realise that people having a bit of a dig is not actually all that malicious.

I get that with the 3L oil filter change - and diesel sump oil is FAR worse than petrol sump oil!!

    Owen.
Actually, the original 18R engine made 111hp. The 18R-E made 130hp.
