I`v been reading around the forums trying to figure out which is the right way of installing a 3 port manual boost controller on a twin turbo supra 91. Its a 1 GGTE 3rd Gen.
Do we T pipe both the turbo compressor outlets like in pic 1 (attached) or do we close off 1 turbo outlet and take it from the front 1, like in pic 2 (attached). If so are there any pros and cons I should be aware off
Also if you close the MBC would it return to stock boost or would the boost shut off alltogether ?
My turbos are doing 0.7 bar, I was hoping 1 bar or 0.9bar , I know people have written different levels at which their factory fuel cut kicks in, but my question is if I do increase the boost to 1 bar, how long before my turbos go `kaphoof` !! ??
its a shame you're on the emerald isle, we coud've maybe met up to discuss.
when i had an MBC on mine i did it as in the 1st attachment but tbh i got better results by spacing the wastegate actuators.
in all honesty though it is much easier to fit an MBC than it is to get at the rear actuator.
stock 1G's can handle 1bar boost safely for the long term so don't bother to turn it up, turn it down, turn it up, turn it down. find the sweet spot and leave it 'cos you won't hurt it.
Remembering that 1G's need love too!
