3sgte gen 3 idle issues????

i have got a gen3 on a gen2 block scroungeing parts from where ever i could and when i bought the manifold set up i didnt know there was a vacume style idle control in aditon to the electronic icv. i am missing this vacume idle and am wondering if there is any way to set up idle with out it. i have rang castle hill toyota and they can get one but is over 500$ so forget that will get one of a late modle 5sfe and tig a bracket on befor i do that but befor i go down this route does any one know of any other way to aproche this problem i have just wound the buterfly stop open for now but havent reset the tps to idle yet. any thoughts

which vehicle is this in? i can't think of any acum style idle contorl on the gen3 engine, yo have the elec ISCV under the TB and the AC idle up valve but that's it.

the st185 has a funny vac idle control

it is a modified engine gen3 head on a gen2 block in a st162 if you look in the bgb for a gen 3 it is showen as there is no idle adjustment screw like on a gen2 throtle body. if there is a idle adjustment screw on a gen3 throtle body i cant find it or anything about it in the bgb. all it refers to about adjustment for idle is the set screw on the vac idle controler. i will get a 5sfe one and tig a bracket on to suit gen3 tb and a stop on the tb arm for it to push against this will be the wrong ratio for it to push against but will be a start

i think the gen3 ecu just controls idle better via the elec ISCV, the gen3 TB already has a throttle stop screw.

what ecu are you gonna run it on? you are corrrect there is no idle adjustment on the TB.

the only other vac idle thingo is the AC idle up valve for gen3's

i have an apexi power fc for it i have been runing it is this car's second reincarnation. yah i was already thinking about useing the ac idle up as a idle controler will run a vac hose to it on weekend got to leave for a work trip away so wont have time to sort this till the weekend
