Pressume that is from the US? I looked at the stuff on E-bay but freight made it better to get it in NZ, mine came out of a 95 Mondeo 2.0 Zetec.

Once you crack the shits with the EDIS limitations, just replace the VR sensor (from the EDIS) at the crank wheel for a Hall Sensor and wire that to the MS. Then you can run wasted spark with spark cut/retard.

Hooray, my 20V is alive!

Although I had an RPM signal, I noticed I was getting sync errors, and they seem to be very consistant. I had a look at my spare 20V dizzy and noticed that the G wheel is more of a snail shape. I checked my settings and noticed I was running Raising Edge for the Cam Trigger, which by the looks of it was getting false triggered by the snail shape. I flicked it over to Falling Edge, turned the key and she fired up instantly!

Old, give this a go with yours, it might be doing the same thing. As request, here are my trigger settings.

Pretty sure it's just.

NE -> VR1+
G2 -> VR2
G- -> VR- (if not, it will be SG)

Will confirm when I get home on Friday.

yeah im wondering why you guys jump at the EDIS setup, when you could just chuck a 36-1 trigger wheel and sensor on your crank and run wasted spark that way? I thought the MS could do dual IGbT outputs now?

From memory of all the reading I did, EDIS has the coil drivers built in where the MS would need to run outboard coil drivers and I would have had to mod my pre built ECU. For $110NZ for everything I needed it make perfect sense.

.. and perhaps for the other minor advantage: when MS ignition part fails to work, you still get limp-home mode just from the EDIS module alone with timing locked at 10 deg BTDC.
