Default What torque setting for 4AGE metal HG?

I finally got my new head gasket, but now I don't have any idea what to torque it down at? The packet it came in doesn't say anything and I can't find anything in these forums or the old ones.
Can anyone help me out with this? I have been waiting so freaking long to get my car running again, and its just one stupid little hold up after another!
Thanks in advance for any info!
    cheers.

If you're using standard head bolts use the standard torque settings, 29Nm then 90 degrees then 90 degrees. If you're using aftermarket bolts or studs they should say to use standard torque settings or specify new ones.

EDIT: I should be recieving some ARP head studs tomorrow, it'll be interesting to find out what they specify.

i used a MHG on my 4agze and used ARP head studs.

i followed the procedure as per:
    http://toymods.org.au/Repository/Tec...derhead_19.jpg

be sure to lubricate the bolt and the flat surface of the head. VERY IMPORTANT for correct torque

Shit, should I have put oil or grease on the head bolts?
I am just re-using the standard head bolts, I just chucked them back in, but I haven't tightened it up properly yet, cause I didn't know the settings!
This is my first HG change so I don't really have much of an idea!I just know to tighten the bolts in a criss cross pattern.
Thanks for all the help so far!
    cheers.

Make sure you lube both the threads and the head of the bolt

Use the factory torque.with the factory bolts!

    ARP stud torque is 60ftlb

Moly lube is good but if you dont have it use engine oil.

The purpose for this is to lube bolt so that it doesnt bind when tensioning and give you a false torque reading

Hey Whitchy, i would also highly reccommend that you clean all the bolts threads and ensure they are free from any dirt or grime or whatever. You could do the same by using a screwdriver and a cloth and cleaning the block's bolt holes.

The correct tightening procedure is as follows:
Start from the middle bolt on the inlet side, then move down to the middle bolt on the exhaust side. Next tighten the bolt directly left (towards cam gear end) on exhaust side as well, now move up to the one directly above on the inlet side. Now move to the second bolt over on inlet side(directly right of the first bolt you tightened) then go below that one and continue tightening in a circle pattern.

Heres the order as a diagram. Tightening like this irons out gasket creases.

    8 4 1 5 9
    7 3 2 6 10

ARP Moly lube only costs like $10 for a decent sized tube. It comes in handy doing up other stuff too so just get some. Rocket Industries usually have some on the shelf. If you do end up using engine oil instead, you're supposed to use a 30w monograde oil. (i cant seem to find the page that recommended it on the new ARP site)

You're meant to chase the thread at least 5 times to ensure the friction reaches an equalising point meaning more accurate torque readings.

    4agte finally completed. 234rwkw @ 8125rpm. Tis fun

If you are using a TRD Head gasket the bible says
    200 > 400 > 600 > 730 kg-cm

Thats what i have always done mine to. moly grease or monograde oil under washers and bolt heads to.
