Clutch Fluid Line?

Hey all i have just put a clutch master cylinder in my KE25 (is getting a 4age) and i need to put a line from it to the slave cyl. on the gearbox , i have an AE71 one but it's a bit to long and will interfer with the exhaust once i get that done , any ideas on which cars would have a similar length line or can you get on made at a reasonable price
any help appreciated , Lindsay

Any brake/clutch place can make up a rubber hose for clutch slave-> firewall. Get a banjo fitting on the slave end for added exhaust clearance (if slave is on passenger side).

And if needed just bend up some bundy piping for the rest of the line to the clutch master.

I can't see it being more than $50 for the entire setup.

Either head to the wreckers and try and match something, or for the effort I would just goto enzed as hen suggests and be done with it (for the rubber line)!

For the metal line as said by Hen bend some bundy tube up, enzed etc can flare the ends for you if required quite cheap.

All i did in my ke30 is used a metal brake line from another ke30. If you get the one that goes from the passenger side front brake then bend it in place it should go in ok.. Have a look to see if this will apply to you aswell.

cheers boyz , bundy piping is that just like brake pipes but easier to bend ? i suppose i'd get that from enzed or somewhere like that ?

Bundy piping is what pubs use to get that Bundy and cola draught from the keg to the tap...

It is just like brake pipe. Any brake place, or even industrial supplies places should be able to help you out.

working with brake lines is actually quite easy. i bought a 6m length of 3/16th tubing from my local repco for about $40 or $50 (can't remember the exact cost).

you can bend it around a socket, or buy a cheap bending tool for $30 or so. flaring the ends is the tricky part as a double flaring tool will set you back about $100. but i'm sure someone with the tool would do it for $10 or a six-pack.
