You can hook up the standard Taco to the 1GGTE. You will have to have your existing Taco recalibated from 4 cylinder to 6 cylinder, any auto instrument shop/repairer can do that for you. Mine cost $30. If you have a good search of the old forums someone posted some years ago, over 2 at least, how to do it yourself.

what's wrong with that??? all the 1G's i've seen have moved along VERY nicely... never heard anything wrong from those who drive them... my only gripe would be 2nd gear acceleration from low rpm... moving too quick to drop into 1st, and no synchro,

It's more got to do with the cars they came out of. The 1GGE proves the engine is quite capable of revving.

save your time and money and just put a single turbo on it

    agreed,

there is minal room to play with if you want to improve the angles of the turbo pipe entries. the dizzy is at the front and the firewall is at the back.

you need to consider how much effort you'd put into doing a decent job and then compare it to the performance gain.

better off buying a nice intercooler and getting some sort of boost controller. then you can put the boost up a little......much better gains to be had there

well i'm planning on remounting the turbos on my 1G over the next few months, along with a few other mods, i think there's some decent gains to be had by improving flow both into, and out of the turbos, exhaust and compressor side, particularly in the dump region... but to be perfectly honest, i haven't gone much further then pulling the whole lot off and just having a general look...

you are forgetting that the biggest problem with the ct12s is that they suffer from really small exhaust houseings. You could increase boost to the item, and hell you could even put a bigger wheel in the front of them, one problem will still prevail is that you will eventually start building up back pressure inside your turbo manifold when increasing boost to far, bounce the hell outta your exhaust valve springs to. They just aint worth it, for the cost of a single turbo conversion its really not worth it.
