Default clutch.. what is the difference bewteen these two?

okay we are talking clutches here...

    ma70 7mge/w58
    jza80 2jzge /w58

    http://www.kudosmotorsports.com/cata...zge-p-623.html

i dont know what the differences are? both are the same size diameter, both for w58 spline.

bolt position/alignment studs different pressure plate to flywheel? obviously the actual flywheel isnt interchangeable (6 and 8bolt).

i cant see the $190 differences between the two...

    hang on, you looking at a clutch for a A80 compared to a clutch for a A70. that's a W58 to a R154 mate. No go!

    yeah as above.

just checked toyodiy, part numbers look a little different ma70 7mge>jza80 2jz (first series before the dash are the same). doesnt really confirm or not if they are interchangeable.

making so many things interchangeable having a different clutch cover seems illogical.

I looked up the exedy website a while ago and from memory they had the part numbers of the components, and the plates were the same / pp different. Or maybe that was by calling them.. i forget. I assumed this was just bolt pattern, which doesn't really explain any price difference, aside from jza80 tax..

    They should be the same.

    I've personally used a 7mge W58 clutch & PP on a 2JZ-GE (W58) Flywheel.
