what the hell is this shit? MPH? what are we in, the 1960s again?
this thread is a good read.
I always thought that .82/.86 rear housing where really on the smaller scale .6ish rear housings are what a lot of guys are using on SRs! realistically you wouldnt want any bigger then .8ish on a street car by the looks of this thread.
oh and how is your china turbo holding up?

Hi lads,
Dyno of the Precision dbb 6765 with quick spool valve. Quick spool valve has only been set by feel on the road and no testing was done on the dyno as yet This is a hub dyno. Wastegate boost.

1998 C200 + 2JZGTE - (Tried to kill me now gone)
fixed^^
ill have to google some on this quick spool valve. what do you think so far on precision turbos? buy one over a Garrett? hard to know whats quality and what not sometimes.
that looks like a pretty kick-arse combo

Hard to say, usually when you buy something you don't pick holes in it. Only thing in retrospect would have gone to the larger exhaust housing. I went with the precision because of the graph below and saw the usa guys having huge results with them. The gtx's weren't easily available in aust at the time and there was no dyno results I could find so I picked this set up over a 3582, 4088 or a T04z.
fair enough, when i buy gear i normally like to test it and tell people its good or its crap.
main consern i guess for me is the quality, i dont really want a turbo that goes good for 20,000kays then needs to be rebuilt sorta thing. still will be a while before i think about taking my twins off anyway. everything else has to be upgraded outside of the engine now haha.
Ok, it's AWESOME... No but really I have done 1000km on it without big boost yet. Sound is wicked, if you're into that. Otherwise I'll let you guys know if anything goes wrong with it.
Quality question seems a strange thing to raise? More info? More likely a user problem, wrong oil line flow rate or ingestion of foreign bodies. Even cheap chinese turbos can give 20000kms of (in my experience) laggy service.
Hi Guys,
Just got the Merc + 2JZ on the road. No dyno yet but here's a vid of 1st gear (auto)
In seat of the pants feel in comparison with the 6765 this feels laaaaagggggyyy as, by a fractor of 1000 - 1500rpm!
Only running 10psi though wastegate pressure it comes on in a rush. tial 1.00 rear housing, genuine garrett gt35. Once I get a tune and some boost control it should ramp quicker, but this is interesting!
