    1jz = same as 2jz, 8 bolt.

    I was under the impression that M series flywheels didn't fit due to the M series offset hole (my memory might be wrong). Anyone?

    hey anyone want to give me some pointers on changing the spigot bearing? I was thinking maybe some kind of slide hammer or something because that thing is in there tight..

    Also the rear engine seal, is it just a matter of digging it out and tapping the new one in like all other cars i've done?

    BTW this is for a 1g-gte.

    There was a big thread on spigot bearing removal techniques only a few weeks ago, with almost everyone having their own method. The most commin is a hydraulic method, filling the space behind the bearing with grease, or wet paper, or soap, or some left over dog food, and then inserting something that's a tight fit into the the centre of the bearing & squashing it all in, then repeating, until the chosen medium forces the bearing out.

    BTW, don't use dog food.

    so stuff the end of the crank with plastacine and belt in a piece of wodden dowel that is the right size. Sounds doable. Will playdough do?
