well anyway its 9.5", i was quite suprised actually as i thought it was 9.25" like 1ggte flywheel but when i took it to the clutch guy for some reason the pressure plate wouldnt fit on the dowles, i wonder why lol![]()

hey anyone want to give me some pointers on changing the spigot bearing? I was thinking maybe some kind of slide hammer or something because that thing is in there tight..
Also the rear engine seal, is it just a matter of digging it out and tapping the new one in like all other cars i've done?
BTW this is for a 1g-gte.

There was a big thread on spigot bearing removal techniques only a few weeks ago, with almost everyone having their own method. The most commin is a hydraulic method, filling the space behind the bearing with grease, or wet paper, or soap, or some left over dog food, and then inserting something that's a tight fit into the the centre of the bearing & squashing it all in, then repeating, until the chosen medium forces the bearing out.
BTW, don't use dog food.![]()

so stuff the end of the crank with plastacine and belt in a piece of wodden dowel that is the right size. Sounds doable. Will playdough do?
