    Allencr: Crank is std size journals. I wouldnt hesitate on using a undersize crank...... depends on how far undersize it has been ground ,but in moderation..... no wouldnt have an issue with it.

    this is probably pointing out the obvious to yourself but at those revs you need to shim your pump to have higher pressure.

    yeah i agree...... to be honnest though... at that rpm there isnt alot of difference in the oil pressure vs no shim.
    I noticed my major difference in the pressure low in the rpm range.

    My bottom end has definitely ended up as overkill then! New crank, spool rods, Aries pistons, and tossed the underground crank, not because I didnt trust the crank I just dont trust any other shells than ACL race series.

    King are good... i've been told personally that ACL aren't all they're cracked up to be.



    +1 to std gze slugs, does anyone know how many are left in stock over in japland?

    daaammnnn. how much punishment does it take? street/drag/circuit?

    hehehehehe.... found some interesting bottom end info recently.........

    1) shotpeen the main caps....

    2) check around... most times a 4A crank breaks, it is either @ the 2nd main, or the 4th main. Hasselgren would machine the block skirt @ these 2 mains, and then add a hardened strap across main # 2 and #4 and they would be tied into the block walls! No other straps, or reinforcement was needed.

    mostly track work and hill climbs as we dont have a drag strip easily accesable anymore.

    So it sounds like at worst the engine cracks the main caps which spins the bearings = bearing/crank failure.

    And 30psi 4agte, your car was some of the motorvation to get crackin on my build.
