Here is the information I was given as per their rods and crank:

"As you see,*our rods*quality*is same level with*top brands such as*Arrow or Carrillo. The rods are floating pin (bushing pin) and they can run with 9000rpm & 800HP with ARP 2000 bolts. They or will run over 12000rpm & 1000HP with ARP L-19 bolts. Our billet cranks are crossed drill from OEM, much lighter and stronger than OEM. The quality is same as Tomei or Cosworth. They can hold out 800-1000HP (max 18000rpm & 1800HP). All of our parts have passed high standard inspection and well balanced."

I found out this which was reported by the company "Furious Racing Parts(FRP) Company is professional High performance parts Manufacture which is established at 1988. We specialized in high performance parts for various engines, which is include 4340 EN24 Billet crankshafts, 4340 H-Beam Rods, Roller lifters, and Turbochargers. All our parts manufactured by advanced CNC machine and pass high stand inspection. We also offer OEM service.

FRP has built a reputation as one of the leading manufactures of racing parts for high performance engines. Our each part is a precision, high strength, quality piece.

We also can custom rods and crankshafts to suit your application. Our engineers are available to discuss your requirements if you are unsure of exactly what you need."

I did some research and it seems that people like the price but not one person wants to try them out as they are worried its just a scam site

Haha musical cranks. The forged resonates at a much higher pitch and for a lot longer, the cast crank sounds very dull, says a lot about the difference in the grain structure.
So who's got a loose 4age crank and hammer spare???

This was another forums experience with furious, when they asked for more info than just a name "tony" and an email address it seems they had no reply. I also get attack and malware messages. Very skeptical now.

I am likely going to try their cam gears, I know someone who has a friend with them and they seem ok. If the gears seem ok after my testing I will see.

the picture you showed me a few years ago had thin webs and I would trust them at all. Knowing they are reportedly from the same company worries me.

fyi i have only seen one broken crank in the flesh & that was out of a aussie ae93. cracked right through the 4th journal. motor still ran surprisingly. I stripped the motor for parts - but i did not look at the break unfortunately to see if it was caused by an inclusion.

there was a clubman in nsw a few years ago with a hot motor that was breaking cranks as well - ironically the problem was apparently fixed by fitting a very stiff cast alloy sump. must have been some weird resonant frequency that the motor was being revved too. (fyi try holding your 4age to around 4100rpm & see how much stuff in it vibrates - rear vision mirrors etc)

heard about these clubmans using alloy sumps and them causing crank breakage.

Sam, why can this company not show there parts in action? if they truely are as good quality as tomei and cosworth then why cant they show anything to back them up? surely if people are going to be so skeptical then they would sponsor someone, or even have more info on there RnD program, a video of there parts in action on a engine dyno etc. this leads me to believe that these are just another chinese part that has just been made to look like some other brands part.

i dont discount all chinese made parts, due to the tight arseness of people, trust make there LS range off intercoolers/oil coolers in china to compete with the chinese made brand products. still not as good as there other japanese made ones.
