Just get a tow hook and drill a hole in it, bend 90deg and bolt on.
Either that or ill measure in 20mins or so
Edit: my verniers say M14x1.25 x32mm (not including washer)
Hi,
on the AE86, there are 2 large front bumper mount brackets, I want to know the size of the bolt that holds these brackets to the body (you can see the bolt head when looking at the car straight on, just under the indicators)
Thread size, length and any shank
Reason is I am looking for a tow hook that can replace one of these.
Apparently the standard one is too low and the tow guys don't like digging in the kitty litter when you go off track.
Thanks
Rob

Thanks for the reply Chris!
I wanted to find a tow hook from another model that would screw into the ae86 position (they start at only about $10-$15 apparently). Looks like nothing has the correct thread though.
There is actually a genuine one made for the ae86 that bolts into the standard position but you have to cut the bumper if you want to use it, which I don't want to do right now.
Maybe I will look into the modified tow hook option...
Cheers
Rob
You can see roughly what ive done here:
Just one of these:
Bolted to the flat (outside) of the chassis rail.
Relieved the bumper slightly (not really noticeable) to make it an easier proposition to remove.
