The answer is probably yes, but there are much better ways to achieve your desired outcome. Pulling an engine apart and essentially rebuilding it is a lot of effort and expense just so you can use a flywheel and a shitty gearbox.
Would a 2s crank from a ST141 fit into a gen1 3sge? I am thinking of doing a really bodge spec rwd 3sge for a ST141 rally basher using a gen 1 3sge.
It needs to be as cheap as possible so as I already have the flywheel, clutch & borg warner box can I swap the 2s crank into the 3sge so that I can use these bits?
Some early gen 1 3sge have the 6 bolt cranks which may fit the 2s flywheel but apparently the later ones went to 8 bolt so I couldn't use the 2s stuff. Gen 2 and up 3sge are all 8 bolt. 2sc stuff is 6 bolt

why dont you just buy an NA SR20 and gearbox?
are you expecting to buy the 3SGE without a flywheel or clutch?
3SGE is 86x86, 2S is 84x89.9, so you'll be increasing your capacity by almost 100cc by adding 4mm to your stroke (and also boosting compression ratio at the same time, and reducing valve/piston clearances)

^^could be interesting, might have to get pistons with lower crown height, increasing costs.
I have a 2sc motor so I have all the bits from it that I can use. It is underpowered so I need more power to keep sliding in 2nd gear. I have possibly located a complete gen 1 3sge for real cheap which is why the idea has popped into my head. The sump and mounts should swap over easy and the exhaust headers could be used. The hard bit would be the intake but I'm sure a real quick cut and shut could be achieved.
Wanted to do it with as least effort as possible and as cheap as possible as it is a rally basher after all. Was thinking that the 2s crank could go into the 3sge so I could use the stock box etc and not have to worry about mounts starter spacings etc. As Hiro has shown the bore and strokes are different between both motors. The bore shouldn't matter as the 3sge pistons & rods would still be used. The stroke is a different story though so is the difference in stroke caused by the crank or the rods and pistons?
NA SR20 and other motors are out of the price budget for this idea. The whole car only cost $250 so I'm not planning on spending heaps of $ on it.
Pulling out the crank isn't too much of an effort as the motor would have to come out to put in the 3sge so you'd swap it over then. I don't care about looks so as long as it works then its all good.

Hmm ok it's very ghetto I know so what about using two head gaskets to reduce the compression increase? Would the timing be slightly screwed by increasing the height of the head by a extra headgasket?
