1jz idle problem

I have a 1jz idle problem, was out at drift practice and everything was going good. But then the idle started playing up. The idle would rise and drop, the motor sounds like normal but the idle is just sitting at like 2k and then drops to like 1k and then a few seconds later it will rise to 2k again. it does this over and over. I couldnt hear any boost leaks or smoke out the exhaust it still runs clean. Took the iscv plug off and its still doing it? It was doing it at line up so i put my hazards on and brought in it. Although it was still hitting boost and holding revs steadily at higher rpm as i drove it in. Would anyone have any clue as to whats going on?

sounds like the tps might of gone out of whack or stuffed up.... anyone know the procedure of resetting the tps?

iscv valve might be stuck open causing the idle issue. You'll have to remove it to make sure.

yeah im thinking more iscv somehow i may have lost power to it, or more likely that its not working how its supposed to. I fiddled around with the tps and its working how should be. might take the iscv out and try another one.

I don't think you'll find that it'll be stuck open from power loss but from carbon buildup here's a link that may be helpful. http://www.toymods.org.au/forums/sho...highlight=iscv
