    Default 1jz idle problems

hey guys i got a 180sx with a 1jz fitted its running standard injectors and standard ecu atm with a t78.

originally it wasn't idling at all so i cleaned the icv and now its idling at like 2000rpm i cant work out why has any one ever heard of anything like this. is there anyway to adjust the icv.

im pretty sure its not a vacuum leak. so has any one got any ideas

The standard ecu has probably shit itself gettin really common these days. me and a mate have gone through 2 each...crack open the ecu and look at the compacitors then find out if they are leaking ..if yes get replacement parts from a computer store and unsolder the old ones and fit the new ones. fixed me and a freinds problem.. could be the problem

I wouldn't be surprised to hear that it hasn't been wired up correctly...

Are you sure the ISCV has power?

Also if you don't wire the ECU correctly, that is using the M-REL output from the ECU to trigger a relay that switches +B to the ECU then the ECU won't stay on and 'close' the ISCV.

The ECU closes the ISCV on shutdown so that it knows what position it is in

    Might be worth checking
