Been raining in Shepparton all day so far - not good for Winton, a real shame.
I was in Castlemaine yesterday and it was raining. I am not going to be able to make it to Winton today either. I hope the weather improves for you guys.

I went yesterday only 3 of us were there! Weather was shit but least the chargers were loosing grip on every corner was pretty fun to watch. 1st time at a race event for me and I loved it. Here are some pics of Roscos's RA65 and my RA60 http://www.toymods.org.au/forums/sho...10#post1173310
I will be at the fun day on July 4th

wet was an understatement I was at the end of the sweeper for some of the afternoon Saturday standing in 50mm (2inches) of water taking photos
these guys do not hold back in these things a few near misses and 2 toranas got intimate
hope to have pics and video up soon
had a flat on the van and stuffed my back changing it so sadly no sunday pics where the weather seemes to improve
...yeah weather was better today.........a BMW 2002 rolled about 6 times coming out of the sweeper so that was impressive......driver walked away ok......everything else was good as always........just a damn shame about the weather!![]()

the racing sunday was great
although i noticed that they didnt have the mini,s mixing it with the big boys like last year
grahams brother phill did well , his mini was at the pointy end of the field
another highlight was the little lotus clubman chasing the pantera and at times there was only a half a car length between them , rod hadfield bought up his monster , i havnt got any good piccys of this , but it has to be seen to be believed it has a rolls v12 tank engine
as said by others the weather was shit on the saturday
thyis was the first time that i can remember it being that wet for the historic meeting

nostalgia is not what it used to be:
the little BMW didnt look as good after rolling about 6 times
this caught my eye
it was a beautifully built trailer that was prepared as good as the Bugatti that was on it
it had a lot of old yacht fittings ,the winch is a yacht one with the winch rope going through a porthole
all the timber is polished , a lot of time has been spent on it
this old motor bike was interesting
it has a four cylinder in line motor from an austin 7
the ingenious thing is that it retains the austin gearbox and has a right angle drive from the gear box to the drive chain , it sits neatly just under the seat , although you voice could change if the chain came of the sprocket
it would have been the gnats nuts in its day

Those old bits of gear are great aren't they.
The Austin 7 Club put on a fantastic show
they are a great bunch of guys
they can spin a funny yarn as well

Hey sillyrabbit... Do i spy your bro making some minor contact with another mini in this vid (at 1:42)? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=unBxVhRZ9ns
The minis are great to watch for close racing.
I've been trying to find a vid of the BMW crash. I can't find anything though.![]()
