will there be a shannons walk there this year
that may be something worth looking at for a display as well
I'm sure there could be a combined effort with TCCA
I will speak to adam and see if he can investigate possibility
i was thinking of trying to organize a cruise to the winton historics
let me know if you are interested
it is a 2 day event , leave early sat watch some races , then hit the benalla nightspots
recover in the morning watch whats left of the cars
if we can get there on the saturday with a few toyotas the organizers will allocate us a spot in the car park ,
this is almost as good as hanging rock with all the diverse cars on display ,
this is the highlight of the historic racing calendar at winton , the minis can , and often beat the mustangs
its good shit ,
be there or we will talk about you

I just have to somehow get my arse down to a VicRoads office and get/pay for a new licence. I phoned to ask if i could pay over the phone, or on the net, but they said "NO!".
I still have my old licence card which says it's valid until 2012. I've gone 12months not once driving on the roads... so i'm not going to risk it. Dad will probably give me a lift down there before work.

if u get stuck shoot me a pm -could probably swing past after work and grab u but would be cutting it thin for time as i dont finish til after 4pm

hang on didnt u have to give the card back wen u lost it? i did, then they mailed it back once i was licenced again

As I recall the cruise for this event failed last year as there was no set meet point, time etc, and some people wanted to go Saturday and others Sunday. So lets nail things down a bit better this year.
So Ian, when do you want to leave Saturday morning? 8am?
Where is a good meet up point - do you go the back way or up the hume? the back way would be a more interesting drive than the dull Hume!
hi adam
a good meeting point would be the new shell / hungryjacks at bunker hill
cnr donnybrook rd and hume freeway
i am planning on leaving the saturday
8am departure sound good as its 2 hrs from there

nostalgia is not what it used to be:
donnybrook rd is now an overpass so it wont look the same on the google map
as those images are about 3 years old
