You are indeed correct Slim! .......my brother actually went and had a friendly word with the other Mini driver thinking they were the one off line but upon closer inspection of the aforementioned footage he realised and admitted he was in the wrong .....no harm no foul.......a slight swapping of paint but nothing more....probably got off easier than previous Historic encounters so smiles all round....nice pick up though...it all happened in the blink of an eye.

It did just look like one of those racing incidents that happens faster than you can blink. I hope your bro didn't go off at the other bloke, or went back and apologised to him. Seems like it was a minor tap anyhow.

....they just talked about what happened.......nothing heated or anything........it seems if you can get away without brushing someone or something on the Winton short track you are doing well when they are put close to 30 cars out there.

    Ripple strip happened... that's what.

Remember this at Bathurst in one of the Historic races? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rVbBDcKDmqw

Dave Wheatley rolled his mini. Walked away fine from the accident but ended up in hospital later that day after cutting his hand badly on a bit of the car when loading it onto a trailer.

...you must spend all your time looking at Historic racing footage Slim...some nice finds though ........like my brother said......you only realise how fast they are going when they have an accident.......that Mini one was particularly violent.......see how much the guy was hanging out the door at one stage!!

Someone posted the Winton Historics vid on the Ausmini Forum. The Dave Wheatley one i saw on the news when it happened.

But yeah, i do spend my fair share of time on Youtube when bored.
