hope some of that helps mate!

didnt only MA70 come with R154s?

so it would have to be a GA70 or the same box from mine Z20 box.

    Just found this; http://www.toymods.net/forums/showpo...2&postcount=33
Seems that 3 out of the 4 shifter positions will go through the ae71 shifter hole cause it is so massif

Traditionally factory auto cars have much much larger holes than factory manuals.
Not sure if this applies to the E7 range though.

And very likely the fourth will go through with a small amount of adjustment to said massif hole. This is what I did with my RA23, much easier than trying to find the "correct" gearbox.

spot on Cruz...the ke2x, 3x, 5x and 7x all have much longer tunnel holes for the autos compared to the manuals.

well the way I see it is why mess something up and then go out of your way to fix it. Just fit the right ratio box in the first place.

actually it's most different from the T50 with a very long 5th gear, it's the best suited to large engines. The W55 is very simular though.

But they all have virtually identical 3rd and 4th.
    W55 has 10% shorter 1st and 2nd.
    W58 has 10% longer 5th.
There isn't that much choice difference.

oh I don't know I think 10% is a lot. It's like going from a 4.1:1 ratio to a 3.7:1 for the first two gears, that's some change. I would personally like the lower fifth gear for my 20v though because of the low down power.

Each to their own I guess.
I'd prefer the 'closer'ness of the W57/58 and use the diff ratio to get the overall ratio where I want it, rather than use a W55 and have a good 1st and 2nd, and then a large gap to 3rd.

btw, W55 with a 3.73 will almost be identical to a W58 with a 4.1 (with the obvious exception of 4th). The gap to 3rd was less than I remembered.

    Code:
    W58 with a 4.1	57.5	99.6	148.0	188.7	241.0
    vs
    W55 with a 3.73 58.3	100.9	149.9	207.5	244.1

indeed, off topic but it would in theory be possible to mix and match gear ratios right? I am thinking W55 1-4 with a W58 overdrive
