1J or 2J thermostat into 1G?

was just wondering will a 1J or 2J thermostat which are 82deg, go into a 1G?

which is 88deg.

Buy an 82 degree thermostat for a 4AGE Corolla. They fit and work perfectly. That's what I had in my 1G.

Can't remember, shouldn't matter. I went into Repco, asked for that (might have been AE82), confirmed it looked like my original thermostat and was 82 degrees, paid the minimal sum and left

The thermostat that came with my 1G was 65 degrees!
