make sure you get a vacuum meter to tune them evenly.

I'm back!
Successfully got the tips out of my bodies using a 'bit' on the inside of the body and a g-clamp to tighten the bit into it pushing it back out through. Thank god.
Now I have my free holes and brand new idle mixture screws I will install the carbs in a day or two and give this thing another go!
So now I'm quite worried about tightening these mixture screws since they seem to be easy to break. Will not tighten them past slight resistance![]()
Excelent thinking twenty6.
Ask Killa_Ta22 how his now runs and you'll be as happy.

Installed them - seem to run all good, don't know how tight the mixture screws are done up because they seem to have resistance the whole way tightening as they are new. Too scared to try find 'fully in' or 'seated'.
Obviously needs a tune now, backfires slightly or 'pops' every second or so and smells like it's running quite hot?
Any pointers considering what's previously posted? Could take it somewhere to get tuned but I don't have the money yet and don't want to risk driving it as it is incase how it's running isn't good for the motor.
Cheers
Think I've tuned the idle pretty well now although any idea why the front idle mixture screw does everything (almost like a speed screw) tightening it goes faster and loosening it reduces the idle, and the other 3 don't really do anything I can hear?
