    R151 yes, that's what justen was hoping for (r154 in cowboy boots and leather chaps)

    G5x is basically just a w5x with weird ratios

    You can get a better side shift box to suit the vans gear shift. Its simmiler to a R151 out of a early dyna truck ,also bolts up to a R bellhousing.
    Also the Gxx boxes are very different to a Wxx but they do bolt up the same to the bellhousing as a W box .

    thanks Dave,

    I'm thinking i might just go auto at this point. I have all the bits so it will be cheaper and given the tow duties earmarked for the van it's probably a better option?
