Here you go mate. They were from Lextreme afterall LOL.

The guide posted by marc280 is very good. I used that as well.
Just keep in mind its specifically for the LS400 so some of the little bits are different. (i.e. some of the accessories may be a little different so there may be extra bolts or not as many on some bits)

Correct-o, there is no manual adjustment, the tensioner keeps it at the right tension all the time

no he is talking about fixed timing. Not fixed tension on the belt

Fuck I hate toyota atm, there where two bolts that mounted the fan mount, that went through the AC comp mount and shit on a UZS131 there are in a crap spot, A Celsior and or Soarer the chassis might be different and these bolts would be easier to get to. But god there are in a crap spot on the Crown

I see. Well i imagine timing adjustment would be controlled by the ECM.

I pretty much have no helpful advice on this matter.

I think i know the ones your talking about. (I didn't realise they were there and couldnt move the fan pulley lol)

i got one from underneath the car with long extension and socket and the other i had to use spanner because there was a/c line in the way.

i feel your pain, it took me week and a half between going to work and stuff.

Yeah, the timing and advance is controlled electronically. There is no way to adjust base timing.

I think the black pressed steel cover needs to come off, which its easier said that done.

But its been a long time since I've done it.

you gotta remember Stitty that the 130-series crown was designed for the 7M..... they only shoved in the 1UZ cos they had a whole heap of spare 1UZs and were getting sick of 7M-BHGs.
    ...... butt scratcher?!
