Bell Housing bolt pattern 4A 1G?

Sorry, for the noob type question but being in the Evil Empire like I am... we didn't get the 1G engine series. My knowledge is minimal. What I think I know is the 1GG was developed side by side with the 4AG, if this is the case, is the 1G bell bolt pattern similar/same???

No sorry its not.
The 1G is actually the same as the T series engines but not the A series.
If they were the same/similar then all these aftermarket bellhousings out there to adapt the 4A to a W series transmission wouldn't be around. I can supply one of these if needed though
