Anybody know what starter, flywheel etc: are needed to fit the ST141 box to 3S motor.

Is there any reason why with a sump mod the 3S cant be stood up straight.

Nothing really stopping a 3S from standing up straight. Modify sump and pickup, ensure the oil drain from the head isn't an issue.. no worries.

As for the starter and stuff.. whichever is lighter I guess. Can't remember if the 1st gen 3sge is 6 or 8 bolt crank/flywheel.. Surely someone else can chime in.

just wondering why the 21r idea died? it would bolt up to the gearbox you run currently (i think) and mounting it wouldn't be a problem.

I could get 21R head and timing case bits and put onto my motor But is that going to give me a higher rev range.do 21R's have flat tops or dished pistons.
My 18R has 3 angle vavle job 60 off head and 30/70 cam 60 up flat top pistons, decked block and wont pull past about 6200.

21R's have domed pistons. Open combustion chambers.

Your 18R must have been limited somewhere. Port flow, manifold/carby, ignition breakdown, could be a number of things.

21R head is not an option then..

18R is limited by sh#t head flow..

If you can get a 3S-GE in there I would go that past any other that has yet been proposed. To convert to rwd you need to use a 2S-C bellhousing off an SA63 celica etc.. that's all i know lol sry

Yum Yum i have just seen my first GE..I just love those Yamaha heads. Now big problem..Where to find a manifold that i can modify on to it to run a carby.

Is there a difference in the bottom ends of the 3 different 3S motors..FC FE GE.?
Is one of them better than the other. My wreckers has about 12 FE's and 2 GE's in 162 celicas. both of these have BHG's. Do these heads crack easily.?

I scaled the corona with 18R up today and was surprised how light it was 1069kgs considering that the AE92's with 4AGE's that we are chasing are 1150kgs.
4AGE should be able to pull Corona..

What gearbox do we use for rwd coversion
