    Hi,

It's the one coming from the coil. Oldcorolla's The lead doesn't have the plastic going all over it, just at the area that's show in the picture, it doesn't look like it could touch anything to answer your question. Only bit it could touch I'd say is the turbo pipe leading toward the intercooler, But there is no insulation on that area where it could touch, only on the area shown in the picture.

If you had half a brain you'd know I have a z20 not an a70, and that picture is from an a70 like I said, which is not my car.

Well just checked, and Spiral wrap is definitely on the lead coming from the Coil.

Looks like it must be, as GA70H_92 had both of his on No.2 Lead.
Should I swap it over or not worry about it?

    Hi,

Yeah, might as well not worry about it.
Was just wondering why it was there, and only on one lead though.

    Thanks.

Seriously, it's for abrasion resistance. Take it off, or leave it. It really is of no consequence.

I had the same stuff, but black on a heap of the rubber vac lines on my AE101 4AGZE. When I went to silicone hoses, I only replaced it where rubbing was likely to occur.

but more seriously, the scary thing is places like rolla club or boost cruising are full of oxygen theives creating similar threads about equally unimportant matters such as "how do i dose like tsutsutsu OMG f0oli sick brew" and "can i put a 1g into my 1989 corolla"
