ok well.......... exhaust y-pipe has been completed..........got a call yesterday and went down to check it out, firstly to snap some pics and secondly to pay the shop.........due to the shop being busy the car was off the hoist........ but will get some better pics of it when i pick the celica up...... ause shop owner said that i could put it up on the hoist to have a better look.........., took some snaps of both manifolds and of y-pipe junction..... and some other pics of the engine with a decent camera this time...........

    still left to do.........
    thermo fans.....
    air box....
    fuel lines,
    oil and coolant.....

then i can hopefully fire this puppy up.......... cant wait to hear how it sounds and finally drive it.........

    what ^^ he said ^^

whilst i don't like the bird shit on the exhaust, the conversion seems to be almost complete!

i had some very very unequal length secondaries on the 3.5 in my verada.. (they were xforce extractors) so i swapped them for some equal length pacemakers, but cut the collector off in favour of a nice 18 deg merge collector.. now instead of sounding like a 300ZX, sounds more like a NA tuned 350Z..

just goes to prove what everyone says about conversions. Though I think most people say triple it, then add more? You've done well to keep it to doube the projected cost so far!

But in all serious, well done on getting it in and running. I can only imagine the smile on your face when you get to drive this beast +rep

Is it just me or is it running mega rich in that video judging from the smoke from the zorst? Or is it just cold...

    thanks......

original start up..... i cranked for a bit with no coil lead. to get oil around where it needed to be..... so would have been left over fuel from that as fuel was pumped in but not burnt....... no smoke now when i start it up.........

included in cost is trailer hire to get celica around and at $120 for 4 times it adds to $480 one thing i hadnt accounted for in budget......and cost also includes
    engineering.... at $600...
    auto elecy to wire up...$1000........
    slotted rotors $440 with pads.......
$500 for supercharger that is not going to be used.....
    $550 exhaust y-pipe merge.....
$600 for gt4 twin core 56mm alloy radiator....
$115 in bits and pieces...... hoses, oil, degreaser, etc.....

so minus the cost of any thing un related to actual conversion......

trailer and slotted rotors, supercharger as not being used....

    $4285 - $1420 = .............$2865..... engine in and running....
