Fit a JZX100 Chaser shifter? I wonder if they can be retrofitted to the earlier JZ A340 gearboxes... don't see why not? They have a sideways shift on the stick for the 3rd-overdrive selection, so no mech actuation on the box for that one, just an internal switch under the shifter cover from memory.
They look about as sweet as a factory manual shifter is gonna get too.![]()

sounds like it can do the mechanical and electrical triggering perhaps... I'm too scared of the price to find out.
warning comes up to wait 30 seconds twentyEight, I waited 2 mins before hitting the resubmit button, meanwhile it already posts the original one anyway
Make sense?

FYI, the Hurst shifter doesn't suffer from the same problem as the B&M with the 1.5 times park gate.
This is for Hurst Promatic2 vs BM Quicksilver but the more competition orientd shifters may share the same underpinnings.
The hurst's park gate is a wide slot that uses the transmissions "gate" to decide where it should sit rather than the BM that expects it to sit in the yank spot.
I like the Hurst mechanism better too. It does the same thing but is simpler. They are both made and owned by BM now so quality and cable type are the same.
Damn, sounds like I should have bought the hurst one. Is/was it dearer anyway?
Hurst 3 speed pro-matic 2's are on special at autobarn this month for $199, Good price. I'll be gettin one.
I bought a Hurst shifter of Ebay cost me $205 delivered to perth, fitted it up with the brackets from MV Auto. Everything seems to line up perfectly, just a few other mods and I can test drive the auto and sell the old R154![]()
Yeah had to get a V8 bellhousing a new Hi Stall and the usual stuff when doing a gearbox change, just hoping its ready for motorvation.............
For the shift lever to suit the Hurst the spacing between centres is 50mm. Take the lever off the box, redrill a hole 50mm from the keyed hole where it connects to the box, cut the excess off the lever and thin down the lever to about 5mm so the hurst pin can go through it and be retained by a split pin.
The anchor for the cable is one of the supplied units for a GM or ford box with slight trimming and two new holes drilled to suit the toyota pan rail.

Thread dig, I just spent half a day trying to figure out why my b&m/mv bracket kit wasnt working. Turns out i did the same as stadlater, thinking thats how it was from factory so i assume thats how it goes. I even re-drilled the bracket the same way because for a brief moment i though mike sent me the wrong bracket or lost his marbles. Nothing was mentioned on the phone when i ordered it, i think ill have to give him a call tomorrow and tell him to mention something to his customers to save a possible headache!
END RANT!

Plus the cable can't be as tightly looped as I had it at that stage.
