Couldn't we combine the two and make one big day of it?

i think the the differences in locations will make it difficult

plus folks like Cliff don't usually take their show ponies for long drive - either road damage or the fuel use (Cliff will describe the trip in the number of tanks needed to get there and back)

however ... I will dig out my notes from the meeting and work out what we had as potential destinations.

edit: destinations suggested at our meeting on 4/11:
    Brisbane Corso (Fairfield)
    Oxley Common (Rocklea)
Mt Coot-Tha (JC Slaughter Falls has numerous picnic areas)
    Colleges Crossing (near Mt Crosby)
Mt Mee ('The Gantry' day use and picnic area)
Binnaburra (via Tamborine Village, Canungra and Beechmont)

I've included a poll on our club's forum for our folks to choose.

    cheers,
    Charles

I'm all for combining with the sunshine coast people, but I voted mt mee for being a little closer.

either way, I should be able to make it to this.

It would be great if the Toyota Car Club members could make the trip to Noosa.

Having just had eye surgery this week and using eye drops and antibiotics (that's me with the sunnies on)....I am finding the healing process very slow ! I am still more for the Noosa destination as perhaps the local eye candy will soothe the affected eye and make for a more rapid recovery

    Oh...and welcome Toylica.

    Hey

If i didn't read that properly i would have said "Mid next week - before the event... isn't it in december? :@"

Well - have found 14th is same day as the family reunion - 14th sounds good. =P

(never been on one) - How does it work? parking? is there regroup points etc?

Er......Mid week before the event......not 'Mid next week'

Yes...well....ahh...Parking can be a problem around Noosa, but there will be an info sheet on the options and route available to those that meet at Eumundi between 10.00am & 10.30am on the day. (14th December)

    More details soon!

Parking should not be a problem in Noosa it just depends were you go, I live here. A cool place to meet would be up the top of the noosa lookout which look over noosa, it is only a 5 minute drive from the heart of noosa aka Hasting street and you boys can do a few laps of noosa's main street then cruise down to noosaville on the river.

Want anymore suggestions just hit me up i would like to come have a look if there is any ta22's coming and even more so for ones being sold

The parking problem I was thinking about were the spots like Main Beach (Hastings Street), The Natoinal Park, The Spit, etc.

These are the best spots for "scenery"
The shelter on the river at Noosaville would be OK.

The lookout?? Last time I was there it was so overgrown you couldn't see out very well anyway. (It is 'Noosa'...you're not allowed to cut down a tree of any sort!).
Maybe now Big Bobs taken over the entire Sunny Coast things have changed.
(I lived there too from 1992 to 2000)

Anyway...the initial meet up point is at Eumundi between 10.00am and 10.30am Sunday 14th Dec opposite the Post Office in the main street. From there we will visit the other spots mentioned via a scenic side road on the way.

    See you there!
