Default Sunshine Coast Cruise/Meet 14th Dec

Update... It's set for 14th December 2008. Meet up at Eumundi between 10.00 and 10.30am. Low key meet/chat/cruise Noosa etc.

Are there any toymodders in South East Queensland, particularly North of Brisbane, who would be interested in a Meet/Chat and maybe Cruise somewhere around Noosa?

Please add your thoughts and interests here and perhaps suggest dates and venues to see if we can come up with something to suit everyone.

Disclosing your approximate location could be benificial in deciding where to have it if we get enough genuine interest.

I'll start.....I am just North of Gympie! Any time after Mid November suits me.

    Glenno52.

Glen, I'm in Conondale (west of Maleny) - about midway between Brisbane and Gympie

You've done this sort of thing before, havn't you? How do we get something started here

I see on some other forums they have a dedicated thread/threads where members offer some more detail of where they are approximately located etc.

That would be handy as you could PM or directly Email all members in your area and not just hope they will stumble across it in the forums.

    What do you think?

Glen - am not sure about private forums here - we're really just toymods visitors.

For cruise events I usually publish mobile numbers online to aid with event organisation - other contact info, people eventually find or share it.

I'm fairly busy (i'll be a new dad in the next 1-2 weeks) until jan/feb - but I am hoping to organise a promised BBQ/xmas cruise for the Toyota Car Club Qld in Brisbane ... tho that would probably be a bloody long drive for you as you're north of Gympie!

Best way to start these is propose a date, end-point location and any cruise route and see who responds/signs up or proposes an alternative.

Given that attendance to any Toyota-related cruise seems to incur a great deal of slackness, expect low level of interest and turn-out to start with

Personally, just meeting up for an afternoon bbq/chat (enhanced with the Noosa eye candy) would be a good starting point. I don't know the area well yet, but is there some where near Noosa that has good shade/facilities but isn't inundated with tourists? Maybe just south of Noosa at Sunrise or Castaways?

    Glenno52.
    Ok....lets start somewhere.

    Sunday 7th or 14th December ???

    10.00am ??? Suggestions Please.....

Meet at Eumundi, short drive to Noosa via a couple of side roads, Lap of the famous 'Hastings Street' , find a spot to take in some 'scenery' and have a chat and hamburger (who wants to cook BBQ?).
Anyone keen after that, we could take another short cruise close by ( Sunrise Beach maybe Coolum??) or (if the beach is not your scene there's Boreen Point, Pomona, Cooroy Etc.)

    Anyone interested

    Feedback Required.....

    Glen.

Am sorry but I'll have to pass up on this - our car club decided to have its xmas cruise & bbq on the same day.

Chris: think of this as an opportunity to let out some of the unsold tyre smoke .
