We are rounding up a bit of a group to do some friendly quarter mile drags at willowbank.
might be a bit of a 2jz battle, with Wilbo bringing a soarer or supra, and the chance of a couple of aristos being there
I'll be in an aw11 mr2 (20v powered) hoping to run 14.6 or better, happy to run against anything.
Simon could be bringing a celica, supra, or mazda cosmo 13b.
All are welcome, especially people with a Toyota or jap import.
Most of us will meet in the carpark or near the bays where we can dump our spare wheels and junk.

* Willowbank Raceway
* Gates open at 5.30pm and runs commence at 6pm

Well not the best night
- A zillion ppl there! Never seen so many people!
- I broke my diff on my second run, pretty well off the line... and my first run was shite, 13.6 @ 110
- -Totenkopf- had clutch slave? issues and lost clutch!
Bah...next time bat man?

dissappointments all round, but no regrets anyway.
I think it was a bit warm or humid or something - making everyone go slower than normal (thats one excuse anyway)
I did my slowest runs ever with the blacktop.
my last run was a 15.0,
- on the plus side, I snapped that annoying orange F100 truck thing![]()

I was aiming to be there but fates decided otherwise and didnt get my sump fixed until quarter to 9. You guys intend to go again at a later date?
LOL, you get home alright Wilbo... I made it.. Only had to stop twice after leaving. LOL, start the car in first gear, then rip it out of 1st (which takes an amazingly large amount of force to do) then bring the revs up a bit until it'd slide into 4th. All the while, the clutch pedal was stuck to the floor.
Wasn't such a good night. Both runs before this I got seriously borked launches (2.5s 60 ft) and my MPH was a little lower then I'd hoped. I think I may need to get it back to the dyno and make sure somethings not amiss. Ran pretty consistent 12.5's @ 124mph, haha. As it was so busy I thought on the third run I'd do a bit of a burnout (previously I was just driving around the water) to get some temp in the tyres and go all out. Well, I dropped the clutch in second and let it rip for a couple of seconds (my cousin actually took a few second worth of footage, and I didn't quite realise I was banging it off the limiter so violently). Anyway, pulled the burnout and ended up with the clutch stuck to the floor. I pulled it up and managed to get it into reverse to stage up. Got there, trying to put it into 1st on the line, barely got it, about 3 seconds after the other bloke left. Got to the end, and had nothing coming back down the return lane. Pulled up and had a look and there was fluid all over the ground under roughly the slave location, and no fluid left in the reservoir.
I pulled the slave off tonight and it doesn't look too bad to tell you the honest truth. I think the burnout may have cooked up the fluid and boiled it in the slave, as my screamer pipe is quite close to the slave and the heatshield is amiss. I might have to heatwrap some parts. I'll take the slave down somewhere tomorrow for a professional opinion and see what they can tell me. If it requires rebuilding etc hopefully they can help me out tomorrow. Hoping to fix it tomorrow arvy and perhaps run it up on the dyno saturday to make sure something else is not amiss.
Yeah mate, got the new diff in last night tooOriginally Posted by -Totenkopf-
