You're a goose but good comeback, not that you need bags when it's on an antistatic mat....
Easiest way to solve the problem would be to get the jaycar speedo corrector and drop the freq by 10% or something... maintains a reasonable lower limit and increases upper limit to something useful, or use a switch to change the division if you need a higher limit.

Your jaycar solution won't solve the issue of my preset dial becoming pretty inaccurate...and to be honest I'd like to avoid that...

I'm tracing some of the circuit, hopeful that there will be a pull up / down resistor that can be removed etc to remove the speed cut...

    Cheers

I read it the first time .. Who actually drives at those speeds anyway? I would find having a 66,88,110 preset more useful than 60,80,100....

doesnt jaycar sell a speedo corrector?

i cant find it but if its cheap then it might be worth a shot

and seriously, you dont use the preset speeds, they're just silly

    edit; found it http://www.jaycar.com.au/productView...Max=&SUBCATID=

Wouldn't it also be easier to simply change the crystal / ceramic oscillator that the micro inside the cruise ECU runs off, to put it out 'x' percent

that might bork the display output (assuming it sends data to the multivision controller) and also if the actuator is PWM driven, that might also be a bit wonky.

finally - hysteresis for the servo control algorithm might be slightly borked or made extra wacktactular if time for it is different for mere mortals.

having said that, it's all a guess and you have access to supplies of xtals?

it doesnt matter if the boards look different, the jzz30 soarers you add a diode or wire to a jumper, but in the celisors, and gz20's you cut the j1 jumper, the boards from the celsiors and gz20 look different but you cut the same jumper, if the car runs without the cruise control computer plugged in then its not going to hurt to try, you can always re-solder a jumper

    http://www.lexusaustralia.org/Soarer...ol_delimit.htm

this page shows the different delimiting, again the gz20 board looks different but you cut the same wire (J1 Jumper)

Please note there are 2 tutorials on the site above (one you add the other you cut)

More than happy to give that a go...

But can you find me J1 to cut, or J300 to bridge? Cause I can't! lol

The wire link that is at the top of IC1 is related to the CRT links.

In the MZ12 Mulitvision one the link above IC1 isn't fitted and the two CRT links are, and vice versa for the non multivision GZ10 one I have.

I've traced back a fair bit of the circuit and can't see any innocuous pull up resistor or jumper as yet...

For example the JZZ30 cruise ecu I have here tells me that the main micro (IC1) has a pull up resistor via RA1(10k) on pin 35, and J300 also connects to Pin 35 of IC1 and shorts to GND when link J300 is installed.

As a note, I wonder what J301, that connects to IC1-Pin40 (also has a 10k pull up resistor) does? J301 shorts to GND when installed.

    Cheers
