This is what I did to mine . I had an aftermarket alloy VN commodore idler to which I had fitted a sleeve for another project. Bolted it to the housing with a 5/8UNF bolt and a couple of nuts and washers. I later trimmed back the head of the bolt to make sure I had clearance. Used a 6PK2225 belt
You could probably use the idler without putting on the outer sleeve. I just used it as that was what I had.

This is what i've done to mine, but belt slips when i start engine in the morning, and slips with lights on high beam when engine falls below about 1000rpm. Next van i do will be superchrged so i'll start looking into gilmore pulleys.

2core plastic/alum one works fine so far in my hiace, core's are 1/2" thick. Think decent fans are the big part. pays to look around!!!

i've got a 3 row hilux one in mine without a baffle plate just the outlets on the drivers side on the bottom tank and on the pass side for the top tank and it runs at 86 degrees on the highway and about 92 around town without any dramas over summer. it is running a single 16" thermo fan pulling air turns on at 94 and off at 88. try for a LN111 hilux with power steer

I picked up an s13 alloy rad on ebay for $165 it is a two core, it has the inlet/outlet in about the right places(not perfect) but i found my local supercheap now has random rad hoses on a rack that you can pick over, i managed to find a few with the bends i need and one other problem i faced was the rad outlets are 34mm and the engine side is 38-40mm and by accident picked an original hilux hose that is basically a 90deg bend that transforms from 34mm-38mm its made to fit on the passenger side of the 22r engine off that stainless steel tube section on the bottom radiator hose arrangement, it is perfect to come straight off the upper outlet on the engine and finish's in front of the cam cover where i will utilise that stainless tube to make a joiner for another 90deg bend to go onto the rad in a Z type fashion if you know what i mean. the bottom hose i plan on using a commodore V6 top hose that has that same expansion to 38mm on one end to go onto the thermostat housing and then adapt it down to go onto the rad, haven't got that far yet but i'am trying to get away without altering the bottom outlet of the rad,it ideally needs to point up vertically but that will cost money as i cannot ally weld to save my life,if you have any questions or want some pic's let me know.

Yeah i'm doing the same conversion putting a 1uz into a 2wd RN90 hilux, i was just letting you know how i did it incase it gave you any ideas, sometimes when you see how others get around problems you see things that you never would have dreamed would fit, sometimes when i have to brainstorm a problem its best step back and look at it from all angles, somebody else with no mechanical experience see's things thru different eyes and will come-up with basic options that you or i overlooked,my five year old has done that more than once and i find myself thinkin why didn't i think of that its so simple! I have taken some pics if you still want em.
