Nothing seems to be helping yet... Damn.

Unless i've wired something wrong (it's possible!) I am starting to think the ECU is to blame.

could be the pin connector on the ECU.
check that it is properbly connected.
I installed a SAFC once and got the pin pulled out too much (air pressure Pin i think).
and it all you can rev is up to 2500rpm and stuck there, alot of puff and puff...

    I'll check the pins, thanks.

I haven't been able to check the TPS yet - it's in a really annoying location that makes it hard to see where you're putting the multimeter probes. I suppose I could test it from the ECU side

Yup, mentioned before that i've pulled off the covers and taken a peek at all the caps. They appear to be fine. I have been considering just replacing the capacitors mind you - considering they're known to go wrong.

    Yeh I believe it's a JZA70 motor, manual ECU.

    Thanks buddy.

Going to try and re-do my wiring tonight then rush off to see the dark knight

Could the CAS be causing this? The injectors aren't firing at more than 4% duty cycle, and from what i can tell the CAS will be the primary method of controlling them.

I'll check that the CAS is plugged in (fuck it'd better not just be that!) and i'll hopefully get the time to replace the caps tonight (I hope so anyway!).

Have you tried unbolting the cat converter. A blocked cat or muffler will stop your engine from reving.

Seized turbo maybe. I have seen it on a Volvo diesel engine and it would not rev and pumped out heaps of black smoke.

OK excuse me if i sound stupid or anything but i just wanna get these facts straight.
The engine has just been put in as a conversion? as in this hasn't just all of a sudden happened to a previously working engine, you've put it in and it doesn't run right yeah?
If so i had what sounds like the same problem on a new 3S-GE i recently had put into my Celica, took 10 weeks (8 at the mechanics and 2 at home) to figure out that the wrong washer was on each side of the fuel damper, this restricted all my fuel from getting into the rail, I'd definately be checking that and going over the rest of the fuel system properly as it possibly sounds like fuel is being restricted.

Also a video posted on YouTube or something is good to show us exactly what's going on.
    Just adding my 2 cents
