    Default JZZ12 Diff ratio

    So,

What diff ratio should I pick for my JZZ12...?

    If you don't know:
    >MZ12
    >2jzgte
    >A340E
    >255 / 40 R17 Tyres
    >F series diff with IS200 torsen LSD

    So thoughts?!

I've seen some groovey calculators around (bigzop?), and I should pull out a 2jzgte dyno graph and put it into cartest... but until then what does the mob think?!

    Cheers
    Wilbo

Well, what are your aims for the car?

I know its your daily with a bit of 1/4mile action but what are your priorities and what would you compomise on?

PM me your email and ill send you my calculator, bearing in mind its not set up for auto. But at least it will give you an indication of what changes will yeild. I already have a stock 2JZ graph but will need more info than what you have provided to get results.

Yeah it's the daily, I'd like it to be pretty laid back.

Would like to rip a nice 1/4mile out of it tho.

Being the daily I'd like to keep the stock stall tho...!

I was leaning towards 3.727 myself so think I might go with that

Thanks bigzop, will swing you my email

    Cheers

def a 3.7xx for daily. Although larger ratios you will find great acceleration and the rest that comes with it, but for a dialy, and your type of car, Cruising aorund in 5th gear with your engine reving high.. It gets quite annoying.

I've been in a few auto MA70 turbos with 3.7:1 ratio and that worked well for daily duties and the odd blat down the 1/4 mile, so it would be a good match for you as well. A lighter Z12 could get away with a taller ratio but you'd want a higher stall first.
