    Exclamation OST @ Motorvation '09

    Motorvation 23
    Saturday 17th & Sunday 18th January 2009

    Hi All..

the time has come to start organising for MV'09.

After a year off in 2008, we should have a bigger and better collection of cars to show off in 2009 - I will take it upon myself to organise the OST entries and display for 2009.

Motorvation - one of Australia's greatest street machine, hot rod and custom car events at the Quit Motorplex will again be held over 2 huge days in January 2009.
For those who have never been all the info on the event can be found here: http://motorplex.com.au/motorvation/

Actually entering the show and participating in the events is such a different spin on the whole event - it really is a must do for anyone thinking about it..
I'm sure the testimonials from the prior year entrants will all agree its heaps of fun, and they'll probably all do it again this year! Right guys??
For a look at what the OST crew got up to at Motorvation 2007 - check out our website:
    http://www.oldskooltoys.net/pages/motorvation07.htm

Please note, this is a car show, not a usual OST car cruise where everyone is welcome. Cars entered are not at my discretion, hence, please make sure your car is up to show standard. You will be asked to provide photo's of your car with your entry and the crew at the Quit Motorplex will judge as to weather your car is show worthy or not.

If you are unsure if your car is modified enough or not, feel free to post some pics here (or a link) and we will offer comments. Your grandma's Corolla with a set of mags on it will not qualify. The organisers of Motorvation are looking for cars with significant interior, exterior and engine mods.

So if you would like to enter under the OST banner (mainly pre 90's Toyotas) - please express your interest and car details here.

Early entries (at the discount rate of $80) close 30 September 2008. I hope to get a majority of our club entries in by then.
Please express your interest before this date to enable me time to organise all the entries.
    Downloadable entry forms here:
    http://motorplex.com.au/motorvation/...Entry_Form.pdf

Its great exposure for the club and generally a good weekend of car related madness.
Hoping for a bigger and better Old Skool Toys display this year.

    Thanks guys
    let the entrants begin

I'm thinking about it, but likely to take part.

I'd have liked to have my respray done in time, but giving the progress of my respray budget/exercise, it's likely SPIDA will be as-is. So, assuming I'm selected I'll probably help fly the OST flag and do the driving events again.

does my soarer count as show worthy ?

And is it $80 per car or per entrant ? coz the mark II could be about 2cm off the ground with a complete BN kit by then

Chris.. yes the show is dominated by those sorts of entrants - hence my urge to get something new and different down there, mix up the show a bit

John.. hmm, is the Soarer show worthy?.. depends how far people stand from your car It would certainly help attract attention to our stand - and when people work out its contact, they will wander off and have a look around at the rest of our cars
Its $80 per car unfortunately ... but of course there's no limit to the cars you can enter. If you wanna enter both.. do it

Gene.. as always, the SPIDA is welcomed. It would look so good with a flick of paint. But that said, your car has entered before with no problems, so why not hey? You can always speak to coFF33 and see if he has some glitter contact left over for your car
