The number of classic Celicas is looking good. Do you know if MISFIT is likely to go this year too?

its back in the car now... a few steps closer to being finished - but I wouldnt count on it appearing at Motorvation. I think it has time vs budget constraints

speaking of classic celica's - Gene, do you think any of the motorkahna boys will be interested in joining the driving events and flying under the OST banner?

I can try. But the only real die-hards left are Peter, Mitch and Luke. Peter's already put his hand-up, I'm not sure how keen Mitch or Luke are, but can ask.

It's a shame there's not more emphasis on the driving events and a little less on the burn-out comp. Be good if it were a bit more competition like, with results posted, etc. later. I think they only list the actual winners. Be good to see where you ranked at the end.

I may even do some of the driving events for a laugh. Nice and slow is the go.
I will be pulling my finger out and getting some updated pics as soon as I have painted and fitted the front spoiler and swaped over the tyres to the dragways. I wanted to get them refurbished but money is against me.
    Cheers Dave

Dave.. even if you pull the slowest time on the day - we still get points toward the club for being the most active and participating, so give it a go anyway. Its all in good fun

    Damo,

I contacted Luke and Mitch, and Mitch has put his hand-up to join us this time around, although I have to get the details to him. Luke was rejected previously due to having no interior and being considered a "race car", so I think he's not going to waste his time.

Oh so if you have no interior you won't be accepted? I'd say I will have to pass then.

Cool, thanks Gene - will be good for you TA22 guys to get together. Mitch's car is pretty tidy
you should be able to download an entry form from the Motorvation website. Or just photocopy yours

Hey Damo - sounds like a tidy engine swap... should be a fun little car after that.
Conditions on your acceptance would be if the judges think your car will be finished in time, and what other modifications does the car have? If its just an engine swap, then possibly it wont be enough to impress the judges.
got some pics of the beast? or link to members rides?

Adam.. yes, its true that Luke got rejected with one of his applications a few years back which was a shame.
Although motorvation did have over 1300 entrants that year, they had to knock back some people. They deemed that Luke's car was too "race-spec" and thats not what they were looking for that year.
But that said - the amount of cars I have seen on show there with a stripped interior for drift/drag or whatever
I would say enter your car and leave it up to the judges discretion. Most likely they will take you on as your car has had bulk work done all around..

Guys - please note that should any of your applications be rejected - you will be entitled to a full refund. So its not like you are just throwing your money away. Send in your application form and we'll see what happens.

    cheers

Damo - I might be interested in entering the 2jz ma61. I'll know in the next week or so if i'll put it in or not. Cos i would like to put both the ma45 and ma61 in. Just gotta see if i can rebuild the ma45's body with an engine conversion within the next 5 months.

Would be cool if we could get all 4 generations of supras down there.

I don't know if Mitch would be fussed, but technically his car is an RA23 :-)

Yes, it is tidy, and the 1GGZE looks and sounds great in it too.

Hey Damo.. looks like the AE82 will be tough mate
Hopefully its tidy enough for the judges to accept. Nothing to do but enter and see.
I'll add you to the list

Mark - I've added you to the list too.. hopefully at least one of your cars will be there. Awesome if they both are

and Gene - cheers for the correction

Entrant list is looking good guys. We should make a good impact this time around.
