I left my one of those hanging mid air...

Don't fret over it... It's $30... Just buy another if it dies...

And that bleed valve, is nearly as good as alot of EBC too... Just can't in cabin adjust...

yeah these things are a pretty good piece of kit... better than a bleed valve, and they stop wastegate creep too!

mine died in the arse when the screw worked its way undone, the spring shot out, and the ball followed it. If i get another one i'll be using thread tape on it, and double checking the lock nut more often than never

these things have a set bleed orifice though dont they?

so the boost increase is set, unlike the non-ballspring ones where the more you unwind, the more boost you get.

    Everything you need to know.

    EDIT:
On second thoughts, whats with that article..

Fitted to our Galant VR4, the Turbotech controller was successful in providing adjustable peak boost pressure and giving the fastest possible rate of boost rise. Unfortunately, it wasn’t able to hold high boost through the top-end. This is likely to occur in all cars with a relatively small turbocharger.
Can anyone suggest an explanation? Would higher flow = higher pressure as far the BC was concerned? My opinion is that this is bullshit, and it couldnt hold boost due to a poor installation.
If the BC sample point was mounted such that it caught high speed air, it would simulate higher pressures as the air flowed faster. However mounted 'passively' if you like, so as not to affect air flow, i cant see why this design wouldnt hold boost perfectly in top-end (high flow) situations.

Or there is also the possibility that Tiny turbos -> can't provided enough air flow for higher boost at high rpm....

Thats the only other possibilty. But this guy suggests its the boost controller at fault.

i think he is blaming the turbo.. depends how you read it

A small hole in the valve body (called an "excess pressure valve") allows pressurised air to escape from between the controller and wastegate actuator following a boost event. This pressurised air would otherwise be trapped against the wastegate actuator and cause poor boost response.
Mine dose not have this hole in it is it worth putting one in and if so dose any one know what size it should be?

    cheers
