right finally got around to doing some more testing on this sucker yesterday

have now confirmed that the ECU is farked, tried it on a mates car and it didnt work...have tried a known working ECU and the check engine light goes away but it still wont start, there is no spark to be seen at all.

Fuel pump is pumping but there is no spark

First things first a new ECU is needed, which I am working on getting...

what else could possibly be farked though?

Ignitor could be the cause of no spark...

    tested another ignitor...same drama...

didnt pull simons off to test on another car but im assuming its working...because I tested a known working ignitor on it with a known working ecu and same issue occurred

"Cranks, fires, and dies immediately" The poor old ECU has no idea what is going on either not receiving signal from TPS, or AFM if you have one.

    cheers Chuck.

Nay, check the caps. If they are leaking then it is concievable that it has provided a nice power surge down a line that didnt like it at the same time as it died. I.e. it could fry circuitry in the MAP or TPS.

Is there spark at all... if its not ignitor or ecu, then what else regulates when it should fire?

    CAS?

does the car have "kustom" wiring?.. missing a relay to take load off the ECU etc?
