the port shape... bolting a large port manifold on to a small port head will give you SUBSTANTIAL eddy points all around the joint. It CAN'T be done without some type of adapter......
Hi all, just wanted to know...besides the difference in port sizes between the two what are the big obstacles preventing the small port intake manifold mounting onto the big port head? Bolt spacing different? Manifold hitting engine parts? Port/cylinder spacing different?

Information is POWER... learn the facts!!
is the bolt spacing on both the manifold totally the same?
Smallport manifold runs 4 runners whereas the bigport manifold has 8.
Why dont you just get a bigport manifold?

the bolt holes are in the correct positions though.
ahh Grega thanks for the great pic postup needed that, +rep points postedby any chance would you be able to provide me with the small port width and lenght measurements?
thanks for the post, no I dun need to go back to carbs, it's just that I need to know why it's not possible to use either one of the manifolds over the other.Originally Posted by oldcorollas

yah looks neat.. bit pricey for the setup tho, but does include a head and manifold (without the ghey bend for brake booster)
