Cheers guys i might give it a crack this weekend if i can get my manifolds on my ST141 to drive that around
Chances of you tearing the head gasket are high. Make sure you have plenty of sealant, threebond red sealant is the way to go best by far. Take your time doing it and all will go well.

Well i finally found my gregorys car manual and now i am 100% confused. Here is what the gregorys book says about removing the timing chains:
1)Remove engine
2)Remove cylinder head
3)Remove water pump
4)Hold flywheel/drive plate against rotation, loosen and remove the crankshaft pulley bolt and washer
5) Remove crankshaft pulley from crankshaft
6)Remove the sump
7)Remove the oil pump
8)Remove the timing case,discard gasket
9)Remove outer timing chain from the outer auxilary drive shaft sprocket
10)Remove lower chain tensioner
11)Hold flywheel again and remove auxilary driveshaft sprocket retaining bolt and washer
12)Remove the outer auxiliary drive shaft sprocket
13)Simultaneously remove the crankshaft sprocket, inner auxilery driveshaft sprocket and timing chain.
14)Remove the upper and lower timing chain guides
15)Remove fuel pump and dizzy
16) Remove auxiliary drive shaft and thrust plate.
Do i realy have to take the engine out, split the engine n trans?Has anyone got any simpler ways to do this would be much appreciated.
Cheers
Yeah, you can do it without pulling the engine out.
Just remove everything forward of the engine (rad, grill, bumper, etc) to give yourself more room to work.
