you will need the ae86 steering arms if you want to keep a reasonable amount of steering lock.
not sure on alternative LCA's but there was a thread on here not to long ago.

Hey,
I was just curious if anybody knew if I can get the same lower control arms from a car other than a XT130 Corona. There going into a KE70.
The local wreckers dont seem to have any XT130's around anymore and I've learnt I need XT130 knuckle arms to get my XT130/RT133 struts (i can't identify them but the hilux brakes do bolt up and I bought the right wheel bearing kit for the hubs) to bolt up.
The bolt spacing on the KE knuckle arm is too wide for the Corona struts to fit. So I'm guessing I have to find XT130 LCA's and knuckle arms? Or an equivalent?
Thanks,
Ethan

i know from first hand experience that r/ta23 celicas have the same lca's as xt130's if that helps could possibly be harder to find one at the wreckers but someone on here should have some that they wouldnt mind selling.

RA40 can be added to your list. They are really easy to find. Also RT132 and RT133.

Well I bolted RA40 struts straight into my TA22 so I am led to believe they would be the same also. I've got a TA22 I just stripped for parts so I can get those for you if you want them. Shoot me a pm if you want them.
anyone know were the thread is for this conversion as i have been looking to!

There is a method in the madness
*t13# are not the same as ta22,*a23,ra28 or ra40
the *t13# LCAs are 310mm bush to ball joint and the others are only 300mm
how does everyone think they are the same? yeah they look identical but 10mm makes a big difference to your suspension geometry.
ta22 steering arms should work and are shorter than 23/28 (according to bigworm) but what there exact length, BJ offset and ackerman angle is im not sure as i havn't looked at them yet.

Its more the length of the XT130 LCA's that I'm after and also the 99.7mm ish XT130 knuckle arm bolt spacing (the bit where the strut bolts on to above the ball joint).
On the KE70 (and roughly from what I could measure on the TA22) its around 102mm. So the XT130 strut wont just bolt on to the KE70 knuckle arm.
RAxx Celica knuckle arms are the same as XT130. Same balljoint and I can guarantee they bolt to the struts (cause I have RT133 struts in my RA28 with RA40 LCAs and knuckle arms)

Thats sounding good, I know where I can get a pair of them tommorowOriginally Posted by o_man_ra23
Thanks very much for that.
i use mx62 lower arms as they are the longest ,as i use 5 degress neg on the front also you will have to reem out the steering arm for the ball joint to fit as it is bigger
so XT130 is 10mm LONGER then the standard A23/RA28???
i just fitted new bushesand Bj's to find the new arm is 10mm shorter
will just get apair of XT130s and start again. (gawddamn i hope pickies have some!)
try st141-rt142 arms
