Stoked with 20v issues

My 20v rolla has been driving my head in. Engine has been replaced recently cause old one was giving me issues.

Symtons

- Wont start first go, especially on cold. Has to be kick started like a carby,

- idles rough when engine light turns on.

I've replaced o2 sensor, motor/exhaust sounds better but still runs rough.

What could it be?
- ecu?
- afm?

Have not performed diangnosis before, but will try. For now through me some ideas till I diagnose.

Is it a aftermarket ecu? if so it could be the cold start is not set up i had the same problem with my 20 valve when i first had it going. Does it only run rough on start up and then it goes back to normal when its at operation temp?

Nah factory ecu.

Runs rough randomly. I used to think it was rough only when cold but now it odes it when ever.

Leaking capacitors in ECU?

I agree with wilo though - pull codes and then work from there.

check your grounds on your engine. ensure that all grounds are clean and secure since you put the replacement motor in - you may have forgotten one / its loose.
