does the center cap of the wheel come off? could chuck the wheel on it and drop it a little to stop it turning. Otherwise, are the discs vented? poke something in there? Are the wheels driven? Chuck it in gear?
im having issues getting the nuts off the rear driveshats its driving me mad ive tried the way specified by the bgb and the disc keeps moving as the brakes cant grab enough. The impact wrench isnt able to free em and ive run outta ideas well allmost. Was wondering if i pull the whole hub out with the motor gearbox i could use a vice to hold the disc or hub in place then get onto the nut with the breaker bar???
This is the one im talking about

Put the wheel back on, lower the car back onto the ground, in gear, and hand brake on. Insert breaker bar into socket, and slide a 4/5 foot length of pipe over the breaker bar. Lean on the pipe/bar with considerable weight. Job done.

yup ended up using a piece of pipe over the breaker bar and had the wheel on the ground gbox in gear brakes on and alot of weight worked a treat
thanks for everyones help
Another way is to put a bar/pybar/something strong between two of the studs and have it so it will jam against the ground and not allow it to turn once you start undoing.. that + brakes + bigger breaker bar

indeed, that's how i've got them undone.Originally Posted by Dale
