In the process of flushing did you dump any water/coolant places it perhaps should not be?
You may just need to start tracing the electrical system to find the dead bit.
hey all for some reason after a flushed the cooling system last night the car wont start today, not only will it not start but the car is not getting any power wat so ever no dash cluster lights or anything. i have checked the battery its reading 12.63 v and checked all the fuses and none of which are blown. i didnt unplug any electrical wiring when i did the flush so it has really stumped me, has any one got any ideas and anything else i can check to see if i can fix the problem?

¿?
when playing with the bleed valve on the gearbox, you didn thappen to unplug something? or dislodge your earth cable?
no power anywhere would suggest one of the main battery cables isnt connected
I DONT WORK FOR TOYOTA ANYMORE
please, no more PMs!
a small bit of water touched the alternator when i pulled the overflow tank out but other than that not much at all. i didnt see any sparks or anything. im pretty sure that everything is still plugged in i tested the power going to the alternator and there was no power going to it but im not sure where it stops working as the battery and there wires around the battery still work fine
How did you check the fuses??
Where abouts did you check for power at the alternator??
checked most with a multimetre and did the same on the alternator where the power goes to it and put the negative on the earth to start then on to the negative on the battery second. by any chance could it be a main fuse gone as my mate said that could cause these symptoms. and if so which one would have blown to do that?
Ok its a main fuse gone as my mate just told me that when i wasn't there he accidently dropped a spanner on the alternator and it arced out like a lightning storm. im guessing its a main fuse as nothing in the car is working at all. My fuse box is blank can anyone show me the diagram thats on it or guide me towards which one would be blown to cause everything to be gone? i really need this car going i need to get to work in the morning lol.
Time to stick a nail in the fusebox!![]()
No, seriously, dont.![]()
i have a whole lot of spare engine fuses at home im just trying to find out which sucker is causing me the problems can anyone help?
check near battery, it will be a fusible link actually, maybe blue, black. Look at the top of it and you will see which is blown.
ok this is pretty weird i have checked all the fuses i can phisically find in the god damn car and they are all fine when i pulled them out and checked them with a multimetre. is there any other problem that would cause this? i was hoping it was something simple like a fuse but its starting to look like somthing worse.
I too have been struggling with electrical the last few days... Ive got a remote starter/immobilizer that has been acting flakey since day one, also have had a issue where from time to time i lose the entire electronics on the front end. anyways ive been wiring up a stereo and managed somehow to blow the main fuse, Red 50 amp near battery, however being that ive stared at some diagrams lately i can tell you there is also a 15 amp fuse near the battery that will give you the grief your talking about. also there is a 10 amp in the kick panel that may have blown. took me a while to figure out the main one since i was still able to get 12v at the dash but unable to run the stereo/lights. best way to confirm that its the main is to put your key in and open the door, if the buzzer goes off the fuse is fine, if no buzzer then its the main 50amp fuse.
