colt and pulsar have big arse hatch thing or 4 doors right?

Sounds like a job for a KP-60 Starlet! They have a good-sized hatch and the rear seats fold down as well.

it would have to come unmodified tho...

that being said ill take two if you can send them before i do this project just buy them rego them in my name for a year (while you keep them at your house) and than ill do a personal import

    but back on topic...

i can put my bmx in the back of my Z10 with the passenger window down and the seat not folded foward... its not an issue just as long as theres 30" space window to window its cool!

what fuel econ. figures are we talking about with a 4age 20v BT? unmodfied?

fuel economy depends on your right foot... get over it

if you are just doing it to have a highway economy car.. then.. why bother makign the car at all?

    how dose your weigh 1000kg?
the rta blue book says there 820kg
Time is priceless yet it costs us nothing.
You can do anything you want with it but you can't own it.
You can spend it but you can't keep it.
And once you've lost it, there is no getting it back, it's just gone."

    Its very, very dirty...

But seriously, I have been thinking about doing a sort of similar project, I've been looking towards a Starion, with a 4G63 twin cam. I really like the style for some reason. I know it's blasphemy on the toymods forum but I like em. I had a z10, it was cool but too hard to get parts. I would say go a KE10, with a 1G-GTE forced in there somehow.

suzuki carry, 20v. Come in ute or van. Easy to fit a bike or 3 in the back

I personally would love one with a pp 13b in there but not legal for the road and doesn't really fit your fuel economy goals

Don't forget one of the main things that influences steady state fuel economy is airo drag. Getting the car with the lowest possible Cd and running tyres with minimal rolling resistance is a big part of getting maximum fuel economy.
