i thought you can't do any mods while on P's.. not just non-turbo? or did they bring those rule sin at different times?
yea my main reason for thinking of doing a 13bt is that its small, light, can get sum wicked power with minimal mods and there crazy lil engines
my mate gets imported ones and for a 13bt with gearbox i will only pay around $1800 then all i need are manifold, microtech etc etc and im off
its also because of these stupid p plate laws i can do a 13bt conversion now minus the turbo and then slap on the turbo next year when i get off my ps, to do the 1uztt i need to wait until next year
thanx all for ur opinions

A UZ would be the go. There's nothing cheap about a rote so forget that dream and don't get me wrong, i love the rote when used right.
If a V8 is out then the 1MZ meets all your needs as a few have mentioned. You can pick them up cheaper than a 13BT. W58 bolt up pretty easy. All alloy so around the sam,e weight as the rote. Will take turbo (either single or twin) nicely down the track when you can.....and never been done so can't get more original than that.
